What We Recommend
It is recommended that fleet customers have their Segway PT (i2, i2 SE, x2, and x2 SE models) units on a scheduled service plan. Our program provides our fleet and commercial customers with the highest level of Segway PT maintenance at an affordable cost.
Scheduled Maintenance Recommendations
-Units used more than three days a week or around every 400 miles – quarterly maintenance checkup
-Units used a couple of times a week or around every 200 miles – semi-annual maintenance checkup
-Units with casual use or less than 200 miles – annually. Even for units with low usage, it is essential to check it annually to confirm that it is safe and sound to ride, batteries are working correctly.
To serve our commercial and fleet customers properly, we off 3 levels of preventative maintenance programs: BASIC, ADVANCED, and PREMIUM.
BASIC (Budget Friendly)
-Conduct a 38-point inspection including lean-steer alignment, infokey inspection, etc. (see checklist for full details)
-1-mile road test
-Light cleaning

ADVANCED (Recommended)
-Conduct 38-point inspection

PREMIUM (Comprehensive Unit Evaluation)
To best protect your investment, underlying issues can be found and help keep them on the road. The premium preventative maintenance option includes a complete computer-aided diagnostic evaluation.
-Conduct 38-point visual inspection
-Mechanical part evaluation
-Full computer-aided diagnostics test and electrical powerbase evaluation
-1-mile road test
-Thorough cleaning
-New Segway handlebar bag at no additional cost

*Standard rate for repair work is $125 per hour; estimates are provided prior to conducting work
